Difference between what fans make or modders make is that fans and modders don’t need to be part of process that is planned, based on certain rules, it doesn’t need to go through same amount of testing or be on same standards, if there are minor occasional flaws, they are fine for mod or fan made things. But in actual development team that is above indie developer, you need to do way more and those same people wouldn’t do half as well. Since everything needs to be communicated, decided on meetings, it needs to be playtested by various audiences, not just fans, and it needs to be closes to one shoe fits them all, not just specialized for fans or pros. Also having some things closer to the center is actually good, because that way you don’t need to move your eyes far from combat to get the information. Having to look into corner can waste precious time where near the middle, you just quickly glance it, even if it looks more cluttered. But you can keep eye on action.
Also this is just clickbait article for slow news day, to basically farm clicks and Battlefield 6 searches, I miss times when news reporter on radio came on to say there were no news today and they just played music through news segment. Today, they just fill it with clickbait and pointless articles.
