Kojima at NGSC Riyadh 2025: indies will lead the next wave, AI can cut costs and time

Riyadh, August 24, 2025 — Hideo Kojima told a closed-door media session at the New Global Sport Conference that the next meaningful breakthroughs in game design are most likely to come from independent studios, which he described as the boldest in taking creative risks. He added that advances in artificial intelligence could reduce production time and budgets, opening the door to “daring experiments” with fewer resources.
