You make no sense. First you say every business wants to maximize profits but then call one sleezy. So I guess its ok as long as they don’t tell you up front. Thats the only difference i see. Just don’t be sleezy about it. Microsoft does do things like that but they aren’t alone. Sony, Nintendo Amazon, Netflix, cable services, and the list go on and on. When you have disdain for a company I suppose it stings a little more. The energy isn’t the same when its not the one you prefer. Price increases really suck but they are inevitable. Its gonna happen. When the price increased for AAA games people bitched but in the end they still pay for it. I always say if you dont like what someone offers then don’t buy it. That action speaks louder than words. So people will complain for a while, but you know what, most of them probably gonna pay that price because they still want go play games and regardless of what people think gamepass is still has good value.
Gamers nowadays have it in their heads that the industry belongs to them. It doesn’t. We don’t own anything. We have a right to complain and not buy what they’re selling but that doesnt mean we have the right to tell them what to do with their own products and services.
I dont condone what’s happening across the industry but unfortunately their’s not much can be done about it. Its either we don’t buy into it or accept it. One thing for sure is that gamers need to stop acting so self- entitled. There is no special treatment for us.
We have people all over the world starving barely getting by and and cant afford food. But we draw the line at a $10 price increase because that’s just going too far.
