Death Stranding 2 Gets First Major Discount Ahead Of Prime Big Deal Days

If you’ve been waiting for a discount before picking up Hideo Kojima’s newest game, your patience has paid off. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach has received its first major price cut since launching in June exclusively on PS5. As part of a PlayStation Studios publisher sale ahead of Prime Big Deal Days, Death Stranding 2 is on sale for $50 (was $70) at Amazon, Target, Best Buy, and GameStop.

$50 (was $70)

Set in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity has been driven to the brink of extinction, Death Stranding 2 is set one year after the first game and it once again follows Sam Porter Bridges on a new mission to connect the scattered people of Australia to the Chiral Network of the UCA, the remains of what was once the United States of America. Death Stranding 2 improves on the original game’s various systems, and if you’re in the mood for a surprisingly zen-like experience of hauling cargo, dodging deadly phantoms, and a strange storyline, then this game might just appeal to you.

Like its predecessor, Death Stranding 2 is a polarizing game, but if you enjoyed the original, the sequel is arguably even better from a gameplay and exploration perspective. Like the original, it features excellent performances from its star-studded cast. Along with top-notch presentation, Death Stranding 2 is an exceedingly polished experience with compelling systems and a more varied gameplay loop than the original.

Like other PlayStation exclusives–although we’re expecting the sequel to be a timed exclusive until it reaches PC and Xbox Series X|S–Death Stranding 2 had some limited-edition gear attached to its launch.

Right now, you can still grab the elegant Death Stranding 2 DualSense controller for $85 and the Death Stranding 2 Collector’s Edition for $230 from PlayStation Direct.

Death Stranding 2 is just one of the PlayStation-published PS5 games you can buy for a discounted price at major retailers this week. PlayStation Studios games are on sale for up to $40 off at Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and GameStop. Check out more deals at the links below:
