We would have loved to see a sub-$250 iPad for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but alas, we’ll take a $274 iPad instead.
Our favorite budget iPad is now more affordable than ever: Best Buy has the 128GB base model on sale for just $274, or $75 off. The 11-inch tablet comes with a peppy A16 chip, Touch ID, and 12MP front and rear cameras. Our reviewer called it “great for someone who wants a portable screen for streaming, playing games, and reading.” Even when you bundle it with an also-on-sale USB-C Apple Pencil or first-gen Apple Pencil, it’s still cheaper than any iPad Air or Pro.

Why we like it
Now that the M5 chip has arrived, the 13-inch M4 iPad Pro is no longer the shiniest new model on the market — but that doesn’t mean much in the era of iterative upgrades. When our reviewer tested it last year, she said it “blew us away with its power efficiency, striking display, and breakneck performance.” It’s more than most people need, but great for professional artists and creatives. While most of this weekend’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday iPad discounts top off around $50 to $100, this M4 iPad Pro’s 256GB base model is chilling at $200 off. It’s $100 cheaper than its M5 equivalent.
