Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series is the next big thing that the South Korean tech giant has planned, but it’s not the only release coming in the near future.
Before the flagship series’ release in late January or early February, Samsung is blessing the US market with two new affordable devices.
US users will finally be able to buy the Galaxy A17 for their affordable smartphone needs, paired with the Galaxy Tab A11+ for pocket-friendly tablet needs.
The Tab A11+ made its way to several markets back in November. The US, however, wasn’t one of those markets. This left a $250 hole in Samsung’s US portfolio that is now being filled.
Starting January 8, 2026, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ will officially hit US stores, giving users an alternative to the likes of the Tab A9+, OnePlus Pad Go, Amazon’s Fire tablets, and akin.
Samsung describes the tablet as a “do-it-all device” that offers excellent performance for everyday use. “Designed to fit a wide range of needs, it’s a great option for a shared device with features to keep everyone in the house connected.”
Flagship-like design at a budget
The Tab A11+ isn’t a top-of-the-line tablet by any means, but it can hold its own in its price category. It features an 11-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate, which is much better than the Apple iPad’s (11th Gen, 2025) 60Hz cap. It comes with Android 16/OneUI 8 out of the box and is guaranteed to receive up to 7 major Android upgrades.
The Tab A11+ will be available in two RAM and storage variants: 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB. A MicroSD card slot ensures that you can expand storage up to 2TB.
Design-wise, the tablet looks very similar to its flagship siblings. At a quick glance, you won’t be able to tell it apart from something like a Tab S11. It features a single 8-megapixel shooter on the back, paired with a 5-megapixel shooter right in the middle (when in landscape mode) at the front.
The tablet runs on MediaTek’s MT8775 chipset, which isn’t a powerhouse by any means, but a chipset that should be enough for your daily browsing, streaming, and light gaming needs. Powering it all is a 7,040mAh lithium-ion cell that offers up to 15 hours of video play time.
The pocket-friendly Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ will be available in the US starting January 8 for $249.99.
