If you’re looking for a basic laptop that won’t break the bank, this Chromebook from HP should be good for most people. Not only does it pack just the right amount of power, but you’re also getting Google’s powerful ChromeOS operating system. Naturally, you get access to plenty of popular apps, and can easily browse the web to get the basics done. The most important part here, though, is that this laptop is priced at just $179 for a limited time.
This should be enough for most people
Although we’d love to see more RAM and storage by default, the HP laptop should provide enough power to get through the basics with ease. As far as what that means, well, the basics include: surfing the web, streaming video and music, authoring documents, video calls, and similar activities.
Sure, you can probably even get some gaming in through dedicated apps and streaming services, but we wouldn’t recommend really pushing it with this laptop. When it comes to the other hardware, you get a large 15.6-inch screen and two USB-C and one USB-A port. The laptop also features a 3.5mm audio jack, microSD card slot, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth.
If you’re not quite sure about this laptop and what it can offer, we recommend heading to your local Best Buy and checking it out. Chromebooks aren’t going to be for everyone, but for the basics, we think this HP laptop should be able to hold its own without any issues.
