The Pixel 10a is coming, but this dirt-cheap Pixel is a smarter buy

We’ve heard the rumors and know that Google is cooking up another affordable Pixel entry that will arrive in its A series lineup. And while we don’t have any official word on how much it will cost, there’s a pretty good chance that it will retain the same starting price as the previous model if the leaks are to be believed.

So, with not many or even any expected changes from the Pixel 10a to the previous model, we don’t think it’s a good idea to go out and buy the new model if you were looking for a new Android phone on a budget. Instead, the Pixel 9a is going to be a better option, especially at its current discounted price that comes in at just $349.

This phone packs tons of value

If you’re someone that’s looking for a new Android phone, the Pixel 9a is the way to go. Not only does it deliver on pretty much all levels, but the price is easy to afford. You get a brilliant 6.3-inch AMOLED display, a powerful Google Tensor G4 chip, along with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

There are a pair of cameras on the rear, with a 48MP main and 13MP ultrawide. There’s also a 13MP selfie camera. All the cameras perform well, plus you get Google’s software magic for photos and videos that takes things to another level. The Pixel 9a gets fantastic battery life thanks to its 5,100mAh battery, and there’s wired charging at 23W, along with wireless charging as well.

The phone comes loaded with Android 15, but it will get seven years of major updates from Google. That means years down the line, this phone will still feel fresh with new features. We loved this phone in our review, praising its clean design, excellent display, and Google’s Android experience. And at $349, you can’t go wrong here.

Google’s Pixel 9a takes everything that was great about the Pixel 8a and looks to modernize it. With an all-new Pixel 9-inspired look and no camera bump, this might be the best smartphone we’ve seen at this price
