Samsung makes some of the best Wear OS smartwatches you can buy, and has been for the past few years. So, if you’re looking to buy a new Wear OS device that can track your health and fitness metrics, but also keep you in the loop with incoming communications, anything by Samsung is going to be a pretty safe bet.

And while we’d easily recommend the Galaxy Watch 8, it can be a little hard to shell out money for it if you’re on a tighter budget or are a first-time buyer. If that’s the case, then the Galaxy Watch FE is going to be a solid choice, offering everything you need and want from a smartwatch, at a price that’s hard to ignore.

Cheap and feature-packed

This was Samsung’s budget smartwatch just a few years ago, and even though it might be older, it still has plenty of life left thanks to Samsung’s four-year update commitment. Yes, you read that right, updates will arrive to this watch until sometime in 2028. That means new software features that will continue to make it better and better.

When it comes to the hardware, you’re getting a 40mm watch with a 1.2-inch AMOLED display. The case is made from aluminum, which keeps the watch light but rugged. The Samsung Exynos W920 chip with 1.5GB of RAM keeps things running smooth, and as stated before, new software updates will keep the watch feeling fresh.

Like other Samsung smartwatches, the Galaxy FE has the ability to track your health and fitness metrics. It does everything you need for a price that won’t hurt your wallet. And, it also can help you stay connected even if you don’t have your phone on you thanks to its cellular connection.

Sure, newer Samsung Galaxy watches are going to be better, but you’re also going to be paying a lot more. We think that this is a great watch if you’re not looking to spend a ton of money.
