The biggest issues have been comfort, and the games being too gimmicky / waggly, like Best Saber and Fruit Ninja. But with current tech running the full meat experiences, like Half-life Alyx, Subside, MS Flight Simulator, it’s truly revolutionary.
I personally enjoy the flat 2 vr conversions and more traditional gaming experiences with VR added on, like Gran Turismo and AstroBot, Valheim VR and Forefront, etc. The most immersive way to play some games is in VR, IMO, and I don’t see that changing. It’s just sad that the deepest experiences are mostly modded flat games (TeamBeef ports, Preydog mod, etc).
Now that the tech is really there and GPU’s have caught up, there’s so much potential just around the corner.
