How many Oscars has ‘Sinners’ won?

Ryan Coogler’s Sinners has already made Oscar history. With 16 Academy Award nominations, it’s the most Oscar–nominated movie of all time. How many of those nominations will it convert to wins at tonight’s ceremony?

How many Oscars has Sinners won?

As of now, zero. The awards ceremony hasn’t started yet, but you can bet we’ll see some Sinners love once the Oscars get underway. The film is basically a lock to win Best Original Screenplay and Best Original Score. Plus, Michael B. Jordan is favored to win Best Actor, especially after his victory at the Actor Awards.

Best Picture has been a two-horse race between Sinners and One Battle After Another all season long, with One Battle After Another winning the major precursors like the Critics Choice Award, Golden Globe, BAFTA, DGA, and PGA awards. However, with 16 nominations and an ensemble win at the Actor Awards, Sinners certainly has the momentum to take Best Picture.

What Oscars has Sinners won?

None yet, but the night is young. Sinners is up for 16 awards: Best Picture, Best Directing (Coogler), Best Actor (Jordan), Best Supporting Actor (Delroy Lindo), Best Supporting Actress (Wunmi Mosaku), Best Original Screenplay, Best Casting, Best Cinematography, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Original Score, Best Original Song, Best Sound, Best Visual Effects, Best Production Design, Best Costume Design, and Best Editing.
