There are plenty of great music apps available for Android, but perhaps the most popular one out of the bunch is going to be Spotify. Spotify not only delivers a huge library of music, podcasts, and audiobooks, but it also has unique features that make people come back for more.
Naturally, it doesn’t hurt that the app is pretty seamless to use across different platforms, with frequent updates that deliver changes people are actually looking for. With that said, Spotify on Wear OS is getting a huge change, with an update that’s going to bring a new look and gesture controls.
This is going to be big
Android Authority shared news about the update that will start rolling out to users soon, providing details about the app’s new look and gesture-based navigation. Much like how many apps and UIs operate nowadays, Spotify users will start relying on swipe actions in order to navigate menus.
There are plenty of advantages to moving to this kind of setup, with the main one being that you’re potentially gaining back screen real estate. Naturally, you’re also going to get something that looks quite sleek and feels more intuitive to use at this point, which is an added plus.
When it comes to the details, users can now swipe from the top to bottom to get a view that puts album art front and center. By swiping from the bottom to the top, users will be able to access the main page for Spotify, providing access to libraries, playlists, downloads, search, and more.
In addition, with this update, actions are now more simplified, with a simple tap being used to pause and play music, while a double tap can be used to skip to the next track. For the most part, this is going to be a big change coming to small screens everywhere.
Spotify shares that the update will be rolling out very soon. If you want to gain access, just be sure to update Spotify to the latest version.
