Google’s AI-powered personal health coach feature, which was made available to US-based Android Fitbit Premium users last year, is gaining a lot of new bells and whistles.

The tool, for reference, made its way to users internationally in February this year. Subsequently, it gained better sleep accuracy, new insights, and even the option to link medical records.

Now, the tech giant is continuing its Personal Health Coach expansion, and it is doing so by expanding access to users without Premium.

The app’s Public Preview is expanding to free users, and it brings a few new features with it.

Google is adding new tools to the experience, including Cycle Health, Mental Wellbeing, and even Nutrition and Water Logging.

  • Cycle Health: Log your symptoms and periods from the calendar. Premium users can also receive personalized cycle insights from their coach.
  • Mental Wellbeing: Track mindfulness sessions and log your moods for deeper insights. You’ll also be able to better understand your body’s response to stress with an updated stress management score called resilience.
  • Nutrition and Water Logging: Set a calorie target, log your meals and track your calorie and water intake. With personalized macronutrient ranges, you’ll also have a more flexible way to manage nutrition.

As mentioned earlier, users without a Premium membership can now join the app’s Public Preview to track their health, fitness, sleep, and more, though some differences remain.

Features like Ask Coach and custom fitness plans remain exclusive to Premium users.
