Everyone has their favorites when it comes to phone recommendations. And while we’d usually suggest a Pixel, Samsung’s also a pretty good alternative if you’re not really feeling the devices from Google. And while the Galaxy S26 Ultra might get the most attention, the Galaxy S26 is going to be the right fit for most people.

That’s especially the case right now, with Mint Mobile dropping the price of the Galaxy S26 to just $400. Now, to be clear, you will need to sign up for service. Mint Mobile requires a one-year commitment that comes in at $180. So, in total, with service and a new phone, the total cost will come in at $580, which still isn’t bad.

It can do it all

When it comes to the phone, you’re getting a beautiful design, along with a vibrant 6.3-inch AMOLED screen. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip that’s paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

In addition, you get a triple camera setup on the rear, comprised of 50MP main, 12MP wide, and 10MP telephoto. You can expect all-day battery life and fast charging up to 25W. Samsung provides seven years of updates for its flagship phones, which means this one will feel fresh for years to come.

As far as Mint Mobile, the service is very good, running off T-Mobile’s 5G network. You get excellent speeds and coverage in most areas, so there’s not much to complain about. The plan costs $180 for the year, which comes out to just $15/month for unlimited talk, text, and internet.

This is one of the better deals that we’ve seen on this phone, making it a great time to pick one up. You really can’t go wrong with the Galaxy S26. It’s not as popular as its Ultra sibling, but it can do everything you want and more, delivering impressive value at this price.
