Samsung just increased the prices of a number of its phones and tablets in the US, and it probably isn’t the devices you’d expect getting the price bump.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy S25 FE, and Galaxy S25 Edge are the phones getting a price bump, but these are relatively modest. It’s much worse news if you’re in the market for a new Samsung tablet, as those are getting some hefty ticket increases.
Not a great time to upgrade your tablet
It’s only been a few days since the Galaxy Z Fold 7 got a surprise price increase in the US, and now its stablemate, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, has also joined that dubious club. Here are the Samsung phones getting price jumps:
- Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 (512GB) – from $1,220 to $1,300
- Samsung Galaxy S25 FE (256GB) – from $710 to $750
- Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge (512GB) – from $1,220 to $1,300
To be fair, it’s only an $80 jump for the 512GB variant, with nothing announced yet for the price of the baseline model.
The Galaxy S25 FE and S25 Edge getting increases is a bit more of a shock, though. Neither are the most popular phones in Samsung’s lineup, especially the Edge, which was something of a sales flop. Samsung must assume that the profit increases are enough to balance out any drop in sales due to the new price.
But it’s the tablets that are the real losers here, as there are big jumps across a number of Samsung’s ranges, and throughout the storage tiers. The numbers are as follows:
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 (128GB) – from $800 to $900
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 (256GB) – from $860 to $1,000
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 (512GB) – from $980 to $1,200
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra (256GB) – from $1,200 to $1,300
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra (512GB) – from $1,320 to $1,500
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra (1TB) – from $1,620 to $1,900
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE (128GB) – from $500 to $550
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE (256GB) – from $570 to $670
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE Plus (128GB) – from $650 to $700
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE Plus (256GB) – from $750 to $820
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite (128GB) – from $350 to $400
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite (256GB) – from $420 to $490
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Plus (256GB) – from $1,000 to $1,100
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Plus (512GB) – from $1,120 to $1,300
- Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 Plus (128GB) – from $250 to $300
- Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 Plus (256GB) – from $310 to $380
- Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ 5G – from $280 to $330
Some of these rises are fairly small, like the $50 jump for the Tab A11+ (128GB), but others are pretty enormous, like the $280 increase you’ll get if you want one of the higher storage Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra models.
It’s very clear that it’s the models with more storage and memory that are being hit the hardest, which is exactly what industry analysts predicted the fallout from AI swallowing all the memory would be.
