A new Verizon deal apparently just gives you $100 to try the Samsung Galaxy S26 — here’s how it works

Verizon deals that get you a free smartphone aren’t exactly unheard of, but an offer that gets you a free Samsung Galaxy S26 AND a $100 gift card? That sounds like a trick, but it’s exactly what’s happening on the carrier’s site today.

It works like this: purchase the Samsung Galaxy S26 and add a line with Verizon’s Unlimited Welcome, Unlimited Plus, or Unlimited Ultimate plan and the carrier will hook you up with $900 in promo credit. That’s enough to make the flagship phone completely free, and if that wasn’t enough, Verizon will also throw in a free $100 gift card, just for kicks.

Get a free Galaxy S26 and 100 bucks to spend on accessories at Verizon

✅Recommended if: you’re looking for a new phone plan that comes with a free device; you want an Android phone with lightning-fast performance, AI features, and years of guaranteed software support.

❌Skip this deal if: you can afford the more-powerful Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra; you’re happy with your current phone plan; you prefer to buy devices unlocked.

One of the best Samsung phones on the market today, the Galaxy S26 is powered by the excellent Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Elite chipset and comes with 12GB of RAM, 256GB of base storage, and seven years of OS and security upgrades guaranteed. The phone also sports a bigger battery and AMOLED display than its predecessor, the Galaxy S25, plus you get all of the latest AI-boosted software features from Galaxy AI.

All three Verizon plans included in the deal get you unlimited talk, text, and data on the carrier’s vast 5G / 4G LTE network, but going with the more expensive Unlimited Plus and Unlimited Ultimate plans will get you premium perks like 5G Ultra Wideband and mobile hotspot data.

Thanks to Verizon’s myPlan system, however, you can also mix and match additional perks on any plan for a small monthly fee. These piecemeal benefits include stuff like streaming subscriptions, international benefits, and cloud storage, and many of the perks cost as little as $10 apiece.

The pricey Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra might be the better phone overall, but if you value bang for the buck in a more compact frame, this Verizon deal offers a great way to get the full Samsung experience without paying a cent for the device. Throw on a $100 gift card and you’re looking at an Android gift that just keeps on giving.
