2021 Ram 1500 10th Anniversary Edition: Southwest-Inspired Luxury

Nowadays, most pickup-truck buyers expect as much comfort as they do capability. Fortunately for FCA’s efforts to woo such customers, the 2021 Ram 1500 has one of the nicest interiors in its class, and it’s about to get another luxurious option: a new special edition that brings an American Southwest theme to the truck’s exterior and interior.

The 10th Anniversary Edition celebrates the decade since Ram was spun off from Dodge as its own standalone brand. It’s based on the Limited Longhorn, previously called Laramie Longhorn, but regardless of what you call the trim, the resulting truck is pretty posh and packs plenty of exterior chromework. Open the doors of the new special edition, and you’ll find an interior swathed in Mountain Brown, too.

Along with sueded trim, the cabin also features an ornamental door design, leather, real wood trim, and hammered-metal aluminum accents. To further distinguish itself, the truck gets a brushed-zinc antique badge on the lid of the center console, as well as a special instrument-cluster graphic with the 10th Anniversary logo. Metal pedals finish off the package.

Buyers can choose between the Ram 1500’s 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 and 3.0-liter V-6 turbodiesel, as well as a short or long bed. The crew cab configuration comes standard. The special edition truck costs a pretty penny, but what fancy truck doesn’t these days? Starting at $58,565, the 10th Anniversary Edition gives the top-dog Limited trim a run for its money and is on sale now.

Other than the new special edition, the 2021 Ram 1500 sees relatively minor changes. These include a new head-up display and camera-based digital rearview mirror. The optional Trailer package now includes a trailer-reversing steering control system as well as light diagnostics and tire-pressure monitoring for your trailer. A newly available snow-plow prep kit adds a 220-amp alternator, truck-side plow wiring harness, and rear power-sliding window with defroster.
