FCC listings reveal Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked lineup, except for one phone everyone’s waiting for

A slate of new Samsung phones and smartwatches will make their debut in London next month but now we’re one step closer to knowing exactly what we’re going to see.

The FCC listings for seven devices have been spotted by Android Authority, and, curiously, one of the most hyped phones is missing from the list.

The phones and watches appear by product code only, not the names that we expect to be attached to them. They are:

  • SM-F776U (Galaxy Z Flip 8)
  • SM-F976U (Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra)
  • SM-L340 and SM-L345 (40mm Galaxy Watch 9, Wi-Fi and cellular)
  • SM-L350 and SM-L355: (44mm Galaxy Watch 9, Wi-Fi and cellular)
  • SM-L715 (Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 cellular variant)

There is no sign yet of one of the most talked about phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide.

What FCC listings mean

Securing an FCC ID for a device means that it has been tested and approved for use in the United States.

Just because the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide is not on the list doesn’t mean it’s not in production or won’t be for sale in the US. It is likely just not as far along in the process as the other Galaxy products that we should see soon.

Getting ready for Galaxy Unpacked

The full lineup of the Galaxy phones and watches is expected to be shown at Galaxy Unpacked in London on July 22, though Samsung has not yet officially confirmed the date or location.

Android Police will be there to cover the event and you will also be able to watch it in a livestream on Samsung’s YouTube channel.

Pre-orders generally start as soon as Galaxy Unpacked ends and phones tend to start shipping two weeks later.

Samsung has fully embraced foldables, and that’s all we’re likely to see when it comes to phones at Galaxy Unpacked since we already got the Galaxy S26 series back in February and we probably won’t get the rumored lower-priced sibling in that lineup, the Galaxy S26 FE, until later this year.

The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is supposed to be a touch thinner than the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and reportedly won’t have major changes when it comes to the camera or the chipset. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is the successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The addition of the Ultra to its name might mean that it’s more premium, as it does with the Galaxy S series, or it could just be a way to market directly against Apple’s upcoming foldable which is reportedly named the iPhone Ultra.

As for the Galaxy Watches that will debut, the focus will be on their AI-powered health features. These will be driven by the changes to Samsung Health.

While there are leaks nearly every day, we’re just a little over a month away from knowing for certainty what Samsung has in store.
