Are you curious how to destroy rocks and boulders in The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales? This adventure RPG from Square Enix has you exploring a mystical land, though various locations are inaccessible at the start unless you find the right tools. Our guide has all the details you need to progress further in the campaign.

Destroying rocks and boulders with the Bomb in The Adventures of Elliot

To destroy boulders in The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, you need to acquire Bombs. The tool/weapon itself requires a bit of effort, since you have to advance further into the story until you reach the Age of Reconstruction. It’s the second era/time period in the campaign.

The Bomb can be used to make obstacles go kablooey.

Littlehope and the Blow Your Troubles Away quest

In the Age of Reconstruction, make your way to the village of Littlehope and talk to the townsfolk. Then, take the exit to the north, head west, and talk to an NPC known as the Shrewd Adventurer, who’s actually standing next to a large boulder.

This fella wants you to remove the obstacle as part of a side quest called “Blow Your Troubles Away.” Just return to Littlehope and visit the item shop. The vendor will then hand over several Bombs that you can use.

Equip the Bomb via your item bind and plop it down next to the rockslide. After blowing it up, you’ll receive the Lotus Chain accessory. It prevents your bonus time–i.e. drop bonus combo chain–from ending abruptly when you take your first instance of damage. The effect is refreshed whenever your drop bonus level increases.

Complete this side quest to unlock Bombs permanently.

Everything else you need to know about Bombs

The Bombs in The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales have a variety of uses:

  • Aside from blowing up rocks, you can drop Bombs to damage enemies. The charged attack variant lets you pick up and throw the explosive, too.
  • Be on the lookout for side quests that reward Bomb Pouches. Each Bomb Pouch increases the maximum number of Bombs that you can carry by +10.
  • Don’t forget to revisit areas in the Age of Safekeeping. Once you’re able to make obstacles go kaboom, you might find shortcuts, upgrades, and chests.
Revisit areas to discover secrets.

That does it for our guide on how to destroy rocks and boulders in The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales. While you’re out an about exploring, you might want to learn about how to light lanterns and how to gain more Magicite Fragments.
