  • Real-life photos of the OnePlus 8T appear to have leaked.
  • They show how the new camera bump and green hue will look like in real life.
  • OnePlus officially reveals the phone on October 14.

You might not have to guess what the OnePlus 8T will look like in the real world. Well-known tipster Ishan Agarwal has shared what appears to be leaked live photos of the OnePlus 8T, giving a feel for what it will be like in your hands.

The leaked photo shows a OnePlus 8T in the phone’s signature Aquamarine Green hue. If you don’t mind what looks to be a less-than-flattering clear case, this represents a good peek at the new upper mid-range device. The camera bump seems even more prominent than it does in OnePlus’ official video — there’s little doubt that photography will play a more prominent role than it did with the 8.

The OnePlus 8T is poised to be a subtle evolution of the 8 that brings some of the 8 Pro’s features to a more affordable level while adding some features of its own. It’s poised to include a 6.55-inch 120Hz OLED screen, a 48MP main camera (with 16MP, 5MP and 2MP secondary rear cameras), and a roughly 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging. You may have a more affordable option with 12GB of RAM, too. It might still stick with the regular Snapdragon 865 chip, but it could otherwise be a viable upgrade for people who wanted some of the OnePlus 8 Pro’s features but balked at the price.

It should ship with the Android 11-based Oxygen OS 11, which includes perks like an always-on display mode along with some controversial interface changes.

OnePlus unveils the 8T on October 14, when you can likely expect many more photos without having to resort to leaks. It’s not going to rival the very latest flagships, but it’s clearly not meant to — it’s more about value for money and fending off increasingly affordable competition.
