AO3 Readers Take Note: Supernatural The Complete Series Is On Sale For Prime Day

If you’ve been looking for an excuse to rewatch all of Supernatural, the complete series Blu-ray is on sale for Prime Day. All 327 episodes of its 15-season run are stuffed into one package, and you can grab it for $101 (down from $120). This collection of Tumblr’s favorite monster-of-the-week show is just one of many Prime Day deals we’re covering, but it’s definitely the one with the most slashfics written about it.

If you’re unfamiliar, Supernatural was a popular series that originally aired from 2005 to 2020, primarily on The CW. The show begins with two brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester, searching for their missing father — a career monster hunter. As the show goes on, it gets bigger and weirder in that way that only CW shows can.

It’s a fun monster-of-the-week show and a great horror-ish serialized drama, even if it does get more than a little campy in the later seasons. While you can stream the entire run of Supernatural on Prime Video, relying on streamers for older series and movies is never a good bet. But if you own the physical Blu-ray release you’ll never have to rely on the magnanimity of streaming services to watch the show.

It’s worth noting that this Amazon version of Supernatural: The Complete Series is a “repackaged” version, with multiple discs packed into each case and a simple episode guide included, rather than any fancy, collectible packaging.

Getting over 228 hours of entertainment for $101 is a pretty great deal for the show that inspired hundreds, thousands, of slashfics on AO3. For this and other noteworthy deals this Prime Day, be sure to follow our ongoing Prime Day coverage.
