  • You can now buy the latest fitness tracker from Samsung, the Samsung Galaxy Fit 2. It’s just $60.
  • The new wearable has a larger display and bigger battery than its predecessor.
  • Samsung claims the Galaxy Fit 2 has three weeks of battery life with the proper settings.

Starting today, you can buy a new Samsung wearable: the Galaxy Fit 2. The long-awaited follow-up to the first Galaxy Fit (which launched in February last year) looks very similar to its predecessor but with the usual upgrades.

The Galaxy Fit 2 will set you back $60, which is a notable drop compared to the original $100 price of the Galaxy Fit. It comes in two colors: Black and Scarlet. However, the Scarlet color looks less red than it does pink. Maybe salmon?

Samsung Galaxy Fit 2: What’s new?

The most obvious upgrade for the Galaxy Fit 2 as compared to the original is the larger display. The Galaxy Fit 2 has a 1.1-inch display with a 126 x 294 resolution. This trumps the Galaxy Fit’s 0.95-inch display by a significant margin.

Despite the display getting bigger, the wearable’s case is close to the same size as the older model and slightly lighter at just 21g.

Boasting a larger display and a bigger battery than its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Fit 2 is a smartly-priced wearable from a trusted brand.

Underneath the hood, there’s a larger battery, too. The 159mAh cell has a higher capacity than the 120mAh cell of the original, which should give longer overall battery life. Samsung claims you can get up to three weeks of battery life from the Galaxy Fit 2, depending on the settings. We’d need to test that out ourselves before we’d believe it, though.

If you’re interested in the Galaxy Fit 2, you can grab it right now from Samsung.com for $60. It will likely land at third-party retailers soon.
