The Google Pixel Watch 5 has surfaced once again ahead of its expected launch next month.
If you remember, the Pixel Watch 5 made headlines earlier this year after a unit was reportedly found on the ocean floor by a scuba diver in St. Martin, giving us our first real-world look at the smartwatch.
Since then, we’ve seen several more leaks confirming its sizes and expected pricing. Now, with the Pixel 11 series launch just around the corner, the Pixel Watch 5 has shown up in one of Google’s own apps.
Another Pixel Watch 5 leak before launch
As spotted by a user on Telegram (via Android Authority), the Pixel Watch 5 appeared briefly towards the top of the device list when pairing a new wearable through the Google Health app. In the screenshot shared, the “Google Pixel Watch 5” is listed above the Fitbit Air in the device selection menu.
Tapping on it even takes the user through the next setup screens, suggesting Google has already added support for the upcoming smartwatch.
That said, the setup process doesn’t reveal anything new about the watch’s design. The artwork shown in the app is still identical to the Pixel Watch 4, which could simply be a placeholder since the two watches are expected to look very similar. It’s also possible that Google just hasn’t updated the artwork yet.
Either way, this is another appearance of the Pixel Watch 5 ahead of its expected debut next month. With Google’s Pixel 11 launch event now only a couple of weeks away, we’re likely to see even more leaks surface.
So far, though, everything points to the Pixel Watch 5 being a fairly iterative upgrade, albeit one that may come with a slightly higher price tag than its predecessor.
