  • A leaker says the OnePlus 9 series is coming and is code-named Lemonade.
  • There’s no word on actual specs and features just yet.

It seems like the 2021 leak train has left the station already, as we got our first look at apparent renders for the Galaxy S30 and S30 Ultra. Now, it looks like OnePlus is getting on the train as well.

Frequent OnePlus leaker Max J tweeted an image showing an apparent code-name for the OnePlus 9 series today, noting that it’s called Lemonade. Check out the image below.

The leaker also confirmed in a follow-up tweet that this is indeed the code-name for the OnePlus 9 series, in case there was any doubt. This isn’t the first time we heard about a OnePlus device with the Lemonade code-name though, as an XDA member revealed the name last month. But it seems like the first time that the code-name is definitively tied to the OnePlus 9 family.

We’re nevertheless expecting to see a standard OnePlus 9 and a Pro variant when the launch day eventually comes around. The firm has also stuck to Qualcomm’s flagship silicon since the OnePlus One, so it stands to reason that the Snapdragon 875 will power these new devices.

OnePlus also promised last year that all its future phones would offer a high refresh rate display. So expect the OnePlus 9 series to continue this trend.

What would you like to see from the series when it eventually launches? Let us know by taking the poll above!
