The Blood of Dawnwalker legendary weapons, armors, and accessories

Before we continue, we’d like to clarify that we’re creating two separate categories for the legendary gear in The Blood of Dawnwalker:

  • Boss drops – These are items that you directly loot from defeated bosses. You can fight vampire boyars in their lairs as part of their main quest, inside Greifberg Castle if you assault it early, or, in some cases, totally unexpected locations.
  • Rewards – These legendary items come from (a) quest rewards or (b) chests.

Note 1: As of now, we decided not to include legendary items sold by vendors. We’ve yet to confirm if the wares are totally random and if there are fixed locations in the game world.

Note 2: Don’t worry if an item that you obtained early in the campaign seems too low level down the line. You can upgrade them via blacksmiths and armorers.

Legendary equipment dropped by bosses

These are The Blood of Dawnwalker legendary gear dropped by the vampire boyars:

  • Ambrus: Ambrus’ Cuirass (heavy chestpiece) – Vampiric ability cooldown, attack stamina cost, AC restoration (attacks), and AC restoration (perfect blocks).
  • Xanthe: Corrupted Pendant (amulet) – Vampiric ability cooldown, maximum vampiric health, vampiric health segment regen, and damage against mortals.
  • Bakir: Bakir’s Armor (medium chestpiece) – Weapon damage, stamina gain (perfect block), block stamina cost, and dodge stamina cost.
Eliminate the vampire lieutenants that made life a nightmare for your family.

Legendary gear in northern Vale Sangora

There are several legendary gear pieces in the northern part of the world map. We’re going to start from Briar Sloughs near the border of Laslea Glen, before heading south to Boar’s Back and Svartrau Outskirts.

Imbued Sword of St. Mihai

  • Type: Weapon
  • Stat boosts: Swordmastery ability cooldown, critical hit chance, critical hit damage, and damage against supernatural enemies.
  • Location: If you want to obtain this legendary weapon in The Blood of Dawnwalker, then you need to put a bit of effort by completing a couple of quest chains:
    • A Monk and a Saint – Find the Broken Sword of St. Mihai.
    • Forge It Anew – Collect the three Sword Shards.
    • Once you have all the required items, forge the blade by talking to the uriash blacksmith. If you want to empower it further, you have to clear a gauntlet with half a dozen enemy waves.

Durandal

  • Type: Weapon
  • Stat boosts: Swordmastery ability cooldown, attack stamina cost, dodge stamina cost, and damage against supernatural enemies.
  • Location: Go to the broken bridge west of Briar Sloughs so you can start the Cursed Chasm side quest. Then, drop down the ravine and defeat all the creatures. You can then grab the loot from the destroyed cart.

Erkas’ Sword

  • Type: Weapon
  • Stat boosts: Maximum human health, critical hit chance, critical hit damage, and damage against supernatural enemies.
  • Location: The process of getting this legendary weapon is somewhat related to the tasks that you do for Father Florin. Once you gain access to the ancient ruins deep below Svartrau City, look for a strange mural. This kickstarts the Champion of Old quest. When you’re free, head to the marked location and defeat a miniboss named Erkas the Repenter.

Gladius

  • Type: Weapon
  • Stat boosts: Maximum vampiric health, damage against mortals, critical hit chance, and critical hit damage.
  • Location: This legendary weapon in The Blood of Dawnwalker was once wielded by Brencis himself. To acquire it, delve deep into the lair of the Beast of Balaur. Defeat the miniboss, then use your Shadowstep/Planeshift to climb up the wall. The Gladius is inside a chest. Oh, and this area also has a Phial of Brencis’ Blood, a legendary consumable that teaches you the Piercing Shriek ability.

Isbrand’s Plate

  • Type: Medium chestpiece
  • Stat boosts: Maximum vampiric health, critical hit chance, critical hit damage, and blood drinking restoration.
  • Location: You visit this location as part of Lacra’s Hive and Seek quest. Kill an entire horde of kobolds and their larger cousins. Before freeing Isbrand, loot one of the chests at the right-hand side of the chamber.

Pieter’s Garb

  • Type: Light chestpiece
  • Stat boosts: Maximum human health, human health restoration, critical hit chance, and critical hit damage.
  • Location: A reward from Volk’s Buried Past quest. Do chores for Volk and listen to his tales until you’re told about your father’s treasure. Make your way to the secret glade and dig for the chest.

Arbiter’s Medallion

  • Type: Amulet
  • Stat boosts: Maximum stamina, attack stamina cost, block stamina cost, and physical damage reduction.
  • Location: From the village of Parlita in Boar’s Back, go to the bridge to the southeast. You should see a waterfall in the distance. Pass through the waterfall and loot the goodies in the cavern.

Runic Enchantment

  • Type: Light chestpiece
  • Stat boosts: Lifesteal from attacks, witchcraft ability damage, magical damage reduction, and damage against supernatural enemies.
  • Location: The next two legendary armors in The Blood of Dawnwalker come from the same area and quest chain. It’s none other than Anca’s Where Old Devils Lie/Stronger Than Achilles. Make your way through the ruins normally until you reach the trial door and are told that Anca has to paint runic markings on your body.

Ancient Greaves

  • Type: Heavy trousers
  • Stat boosts: Witchcraft ability damage, AC restoration (block), AC restoration (passive), and magical damage reduction.
  • Location: This legendary armor can be yours near the end of the Stronger Than Achilles quest, but you have to destroy the Font of Life.

Wolven Bracers

  • Type: Medium bracers
  • Stat boosts: Claw damage, claw critical hit chance, claw critical hit damage, and damage against animals.

The Hand of Fate

  • Type: Weapon
  • Stat boosts: Witchcraft ability cooldown, witchcraft ability damage, AC restoration (passive), and AC restoration (actions).
  • Location: Before doing the Hero’s End quest, grab the Stone Key from the cathedral treasure first. Then, once you’re deep underground, look for a pit with an eerie green glow. Traverse this area and defeat the kobolds so you can unlock the chest.

  • Stat boosts: Maximum vampiric health, vampiric ability health cost, vampiric ability cooldown, and damage against mortals.
  • Location: Keep doing Lacra’s quests until you’re able to tackle The Night of Horrors. Proceed through the tunnels until you see this sword lodged in the chest of a dead creature. Note that this quest is also where you can romance Lacra.

Arbiter’s Ring

  • Type: Ring
  • Stat boosts: Maximum vampiric health, vampiric health segment regeneration, vampiric ability health cost, and maximum stamina.
  • Location: This legendary item in The Blood of Dawnwalker can be found near the southernmost part of Tantari Woods. Follow the sloping path until you see a bunch of kobolds. Defeat them all so you can open the chest.
