Jon Stewart has been unplugged from the news throughout August, and he makes the big mistake of asking “Did I miss anything?” in his first Daily Show monologue back.
Cue a montage of chaotic and depressing Trump news, from the president renewing his attack on mail-in voting to the president making threats to bomb a US ally.
“Noooo! Oh no, I’m old again!” says Jon Stewart, suddenly wearing a long white beard. “God, it never ends with this dude Trump. I’ve never seen one person work so much and fix so little. It’s exhausting in a way that’s difficult to articulate.”
