This deal follows last month’s launch of the new Pixel Watch 5, a somewhat redundant device that doesn’t dramatically upgrade any of the features that made the Google Pixel Watch 4 so iconic. After all, there’s a reason why last year’s model is still holding a top spot in our guide to the best Android smartwatches that money can buy.
A new release from Google also means that discounts on the last-gen wearable are becoming more common, although even I have to admit I’m surprised to see a record-breaking discount this soon. Why wait for Black Friday? The first great Pixel deal of the season is already here.
Currently 27% off at Amazon, the Google Pixel Watch 4 boasts a stunning domed display with 3,000 nits of brightness, plus you get smooth Wear OS performance out of the box, 32GB of onboard storage, and a ton of accurate health and fitness tracking features. The 41mm watch also lasts up to two days on a single charge, while its fast charging capabilities can get your battery back up to 50% in as little as 15 minutes.
But what about the new Google Pixel Watch 5? Well, the watches look pretty much identical at first glance, but you are getting 50% more RAM and twice the storage by going with the newer model. You also get a slight uptick in GPS accuracy. The problem is that, aside from the storage boost, most users won’t notice much of a difference between the two models on a day-to-day basis.
If both watches were at full price, sure, I’d recommend dropping the additional 50 bucks to get the new Pixel Watch 5. But with this Amazon discount, the 41mm Google Pixel Watch 4 with LTE is a whopping $170 cheaper than its 2026 counterpart. The small upgrades from the Pixel Watch 5 simply don’t justify the higher price tag, making last year’s model a much smarter buy while this discount is active.
