Arc Raiders has plenty of quests with strange or out-of-the-way solutions, but few put you in the position to pull off a Mission Impossible-style feat like Empathetic Prototypes. In this quest, you can use your awesome grappling hook skills to wrap up your task. Here’s everything you need to know about completing Empathetic Prototypes in Arc Raiders.
We’d recommend you bring an augment with a safe pocket on this quest, as you’ll need to extract with a specific item you’ll obtain. Choosing to go through the quest without a safe pocket could result in having to redo the entire quest if you die before extracting.
More importantly, you’ll want to bring a Grappling Hook with you. It’s a good idea to store it in your safe pocket until you need it, as you can only buy a limited amount of these in any given week.
Reach the Trench Towers in the Spaceport Trench
When you’re ready to get started, head to the Trench Towers in the northern area of Spaceport.
Approach the North Trench Tower and look straight up toward the roof. Use your grappling hook to attach to the edge of the roof, then climb your way up.
At the top, walk around the side of the roof and enter the only door here. Then head down the stairs.
There will be some thin windows straight ahead. Attach your grappling hook to one of them, then go ahead and jump out the other side.
You’ll now be dangling outside of the North Trench Tower. Look down to spot a crate attached to an arm.
You’re going to need to drop onto this crate. It may require a little bit of swinging back and forth, or you may be able to drop and spam the grab button to catch the side of the crate.
Find the magnetic lock on the crate and manually disable it
However you manage to land on the crate, note that you’ll need to then carefully drop onto the arm connected to it.
When you drop onto the arm, you can interact with a prompt here to drop the crate to the ground.
Search the cargo crate
Now use your grappling hook on any nearby wall to give yourself some slack to reach the bottom of the trench where the crate fell.
Interact with the crate in the trench.
You’ll automatically obtain the Project Pathos Empathy Core in your inventory.
Deliver the Project Pathos Empathy Core to Lance
All that’s left to do now is extract with the Project Pathos Empathy Core in your possession. Here’s to hoping you brought a safe pocket for it to go in!
