Bandai Namco has shown Yujiro Hanma in Tekken 8 for the first time, giving players a brief look at how the Baki villain’s exaggerated design translates in-game. The teaser appears at the end of the Season 3 trailer associated with Evo France 2026; it reveals his appearance, not gameplay, and confirms no playable release date.
Roger Jr. leads the Season 3 trailer
The roughly four-minute trailer spends nearly three minutes on Roger Jr., with Yujiro’s short teaser saved for the closing moments. Roger Jr. is the next Season 3 fighter on the calendar, following Kunimitsi’s June release and Bob’s August release, while Yujiro remains without a confirmed launch date.
IGN reports that Roger Jr. is scheduled for early access on November 11, followed by a full release on November 16. PSX Brasil gives different dates, reporting November 12 for early access and November 17 for the full launch. Both outlets identify Roger Jr. as the next fighter and place Yujiro’s teaser in the new trailer, but the reported Roger Jr. dates do not match.
| Season 3 detail | What is confirmed or reported |
|---|---|
| Roger Jr. | Next scheduled fighter; outlets report conflicting November launch dates |
| Yujiro Hanma | First in-game teaser shown; no playable release date announced |
| Next Yujiro trailer | Promised for January 17, 2027, alongside the Tekken World Tour Finals |
| Season 3 pass | Includes Roger Jr. and Yujiro as part of four bonus characters |
Both fighters are included in the Season 3 pass, which rounds out its promise of four bonus characters. The trailer’s focus on Roger Jr. means Yujiro’s appearance is only a quick preview for now, rather than a full character showcase.
Yujiro’s Baki design makes the jump
Its brief shots show his toothy smile, pronounced musculature, and flexibility, giving a first impression of how his larger-than-life look sits within Tekken 8’s visual style.
IGN describes the in-game render as uncanny and notes the challenge of capturing Yujiro’s distinctive face and bulging muscles. The glimpses offer enough to make his design the trailer’s surprise, but not enough to judge how he will move or fight. Bandai Namco’s work on the guest character also appears to be ongoing, so this is a visual introduction rather than a finished gameplay breakdown.
A fuller look is scheduled for January
Despite Roger Jr.’s much larger share of the trailer, IGN says Yujiro is the character many fans are most eager to see. His expressive appearance was always likely to attract attention, and even this short teaser gives Tekken players a concrete first look at the crossover’s art direction.
The teaser promises a new Yujiro trailer alongside the Tekken World Tour Finals on January 17, 2027. IGN speculates that gameplay or a release-date announcement could arrive around then, but neither has been confirmed. For now, Yujiro’s playable release date remains unknown.
