- Samsung is reportedly considering using an Exynos 2700 on the Galaxy S27 Ultra.

- Both companies are working on solving these issues, but the schedule is tight.
Update, October 16, 2026 (5:51 PM ET): Unsurprisingly, Qualcomm has taken issue with the Seoul Economic Daily’s report, and does not believe that its chips are experiencing the performance issues described within. A company spokesperson has reached out to Android Authority with a statement:
Recent reporting about thermal issues related to Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 is inaccurate. We are proud of the innovation and strong momentum behind our next-generation flagship platform and continue to work closely with global OEMs to deliver premium user experiences.
