Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase returns today, Wednesday, October 28, streaming at 7 AM PT on Nintendo’s official YouTube channel with a runtime of about 15 minutes.
The presentation will feature “new announcements and updates on indie games coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch,” Nintendo said in its announcement.
Nintendo has not revealed any of the games that will be shown, so the full lineup stays a surprise until the stream starts. Because the event is indie-focused, the announcements will come from Nintendo’s third-party partners rather than first-party titles.
The first Indie World since March
The October 28 stream is Nintendo’s first Indie World Showcase since March, ending a gap of about seven months in the company’s indie-focused programming. Nintendo’s bigger Direct presentations have carried the rest of the year.
Indie World events have a record of shadow drops, games that launch the same day they are announced. At the March showcase, the roguelite puzzler Blue Prince from developer Dogubomb and publisher Raw Fury released on Switch 2 the day it was shown.
How to watch
The showcase streams free on Nintendo’s official YouTube channel, embedded above, and no regional restrictions were announced.
