If you want cheap and reliable mobile service, Mint Mobile is the way to go. The brand has delivered excellent coverage for a decade, backed by T-Mobile’s 5G network and the plans even include extras, like free calls to Mexico, Canada, and the UK.
The brand usually promotes its single-line plans, but it also has family plans too. While the previous iteration didn’t offer any discounts, revamped family plans are now available, offering discounts for multi-line subscribers.
More savings when it matters most
Mint Mobile offers pretty fair pricing on its plans. So, it’s nice to see the brand do something more for its multi-line subscribers. You can now check out these revamped family plans on the Mint Mobile website (via Android Authority).
Mint Mobile is offering a pretty good price on its unlimited plan right now, so it gets even better on a family plan. You can start with just two lines of service, and there’s a maximum of five lines that you can have in any one family plan. The discount for lines scales with how many lines you have.
So, with two lines of unlimited service, you save $10; with three lines, you save $20; with four lines, you save $30; and with five lines, you save $40. So, for five lines of unlimited service, you’ll be spending $110/month. It’s a great price. The only downside is that you’ll have to pay for three months of service upfront, which can be a lot for some people.
Another thing to keep in mind is that you will lose the discount if you change plans or cancel any lines. Of course, unlimited isn’t going to be for everyone, so Mint Mobile has options. If you don’t need that much data, you can always mix and match services to meet your family’s needs. You can choose from 3GB, 17GB, and 23GB plans.
For most people, unlimited is the way to go, but it’s good to know there are more options. The good news is that if you’re not a fan of the service, you can always cancel without penalties since this is an MVNO. This new plan is now available, so if you’ve been thinking about switching, now is a good time.

Mint Mobile is a value-focused MVNO that runs off T-Mobile’s 5G network in the US. It differentiates itself from the competition by offering wholesale discounts for its service — you buy multiple months of service at a time and pay less per month as a result. Mint Mobile was partially owned by Ryan Reynolds, before T-Mobile acquired the MVNO earlier in 2024.
