Dispatch Mobile Launch Set for December 9, First Four Episodes Free

October 29, 2026

AdHoc Studio’s superhero workplace comedy Dispatch arrives on iOS and Android on December 9, 2026, with its first four episodes free and the second half of the story available as an optional $19.99 unlock. The studio confirmed the date and shared a trailer for the mobile release, which GameRant first reported.

The pricing structure is the unusual part. Premium narrative games typically land on mobile either as full-price ports or as free-to-play experiences padded with ads and timers. AdHoc Studio is doing neither: mobile players get roughly half of the story at no cost, then pay once, and only if they want the ending. For comparison, the Windows version on Steam sells for CDN$ 31.19, so the $19.99 mobile unlock reads as a deliberate discount for a platform where few players pay anything upfront.

Built for the phone, not shrunk onto it

The mobile version has been rebuilt for touch controls and vertical play, meaning it runs in portrait orientation rather than letterboxing the PC layout onto a phone screen. Support for Google Play Games on PC, Google’s program for running Android games on Windows, begins the same day, so the phone build will also be playable on desktop through that route. Pre-registration on Google Play is open now, with App Store pre-orders expected to follow.

A year of staggered launches

The mobile release is the fourth leg of a rollout that has kept Dispatch in the news for over a year. The choice-driven comedy launched on Windows and PlayStation 5 in October 2025, expanded to Nintendo Switch in January 2026, and reached Xbox Series X|S in July. Alongside the anniversary update that added storyboard and commentary modes, the studio has kept a steady cadence of reasons for players to return.

That cadence appears to be paying off. Dispatch has reportedly sold five million copies in its first year, and it holds an 87 Metascore on Steam, where it is listed among the Golden Joystick Awards 2026 nominees. AdHoc Studio has also confirmed the game is eligible for The Game Awards in 2026, after judges could not play the full game in time for the 2025 eligibility window.

The studio will mark the anniversary with a one-night-only live concert in Los Angeles on December 3, featuring music from the game, six days before the mobile launch on December 9.
