I’ve covered some seriously weird products over the years. Have I been somewhat numbed by Minion WiFi routers and Pikachu sneakers? Without a doubt, but it’s honestly reassuring that I still possess the capacity to be shocked.
I still take a moment to pause when I come across a fully functioning Xbox Series X console encased inside a five-foot alligator. That pause reminds me that I’m human.
The Xbox Series X-BITE is a 1-of-1 console that sits embedded directly in the reptile’s torso, visible only through a glowing green Xbox Nexus logo cut into the scales on its flank. A matching bite-marked wireless controller rests between its jaws, and the gator is completed by Xbox-green irises and Nexus-inspired pupils.

Can we all take a moment to appreciate how simultaneously absurd and epic that is? I want this console intensely. But also, I want to be very far away from it at all times.
Microsoft isn’t actually selling this beast. Instead, they are giving away the console via a social media sweepstakes running through Nov. 10. To be in with a chance of winning, follow these steps:
-
Follow @Xbox on your platform of choice.
-
Repost the designated XBOX sweepstakes post.
-
Manually add #XbiteSweepstakes to your repost.

Entries close at 11:59 p.m. PT on Nov. 10. If selected, the winner has exactly 48 hours to confirm delivery before a runner-up is drawn.
