Watch Dogs Legion Ray Tracing is Awesome and Shows Massive Potential for Future Games

“And as impressive as this looks on a 3090 GPU, this is not the experience most are going to have. Certainly not on console.”

Obviously not, but, Direct X Ray Tracing enables real time reflections and to see it in action on Series X, got me really inpresed and truly excited about future next gen games that will be using this feature.

“RT simply isn’t worth the cut in frame rates most will get.”

That’s why most future games will probably feature a fidelity and a performance mode.

Performance modes will have Ray Tracing off by default to prioritize 60-120fps while fidelity mode will prioritize higher resolutions even if dynamic, to make sure the game runs at stable 30fps with Ray Tracing on consoles.

Seems a fair trade to me.
