  • Xiaomi has confirmed the launch date of the new Redmi Note 9 series.
  • Three devices are expected to make their debuts, with a 5G Pro version being the rumored headliner.
  • The launch is penned for November 26 in China.

It’s official. After months of speculation and name-guessing, Xiaomi will unveil the new Redmi Note 9 series next week.

Made official in a Weibo post, Xiaomi confirmed that three devices will be on offer. The Chinese OEM also revealed the official physical design for at least one of the devices. It’s unclear if all three phones will share this design.

Nevertheless, expect at least one Redmi Note 9 model to feature a circular rear camera array housing four shooters. Color options will include two shimmering finishes – a gray-violet and a sky blue. The official render provided matches previous shots we’ve seen of the phones on TENAA.

Beyond the render, Xiaomi resisted the temptation to tease any additional specs. Long-running rumors suggest at least two of the three models will sport 5G-ready chipsets, with a 4G version also planned for release in China.

As for specifications, one model believed to be the new Redmi Note 9 Pro could be a reskinned Mi 10T Lite. This would give it a 6.67-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 750G SoC, and a 4,820mAh battery powering the lot. The lesser Redmi Note 9 option may wear a 6.53-inch display, sport a MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset, and run a 5,000mAh battery.

Xiaomi is yet to substantiate these specs or clarify the range’s monikers. But we’ll hear more about these devices on November 26 at 8 PM CST (7 AM ET).
