Coronavirus Is Scary But These Mansory Creations Are Scarier

The way the Rolls-Royce Cullinan looks in stock form is already polarizing among automotive enthusiasts, and the Mansory Coastline version is likely to only widen the gap between those who appreciate subtlety and those who don’t. The Coastline’s typical heavy-handed Mansory touches include matte two-tone paint in Ocean Blue and Secret Silver; aluminum 24-inch wheels; what looks like carbon-fiber trim around the windows; and a very aggressive body kit encompassing a new front bumper, new wheel arches, new rocker panels, and a completely unnecessary winglet at the top of the rear liftgate. Inside, the interior is lined in aqua leather, features Rolls’s starry sky headliner in the same color, and even has a custom Mansory child’s seat. At least the twin-turbo V-12 gets a power bump, now making 610 horsepower (up from 517) and 700 lb-ft of torque (up from 626). The engine also exhales through a new exhaust.

The Lamborghini Urus in stock form isn’t exactly a pretty car, but the Mansory Venatus leans into its aggressive aesthetic to an entirely new level. The gaping front end, goofy rear wing, triangle-shaped exhaust outlets, and lime-green accents on matte blue paint are absolutely bonkers. The twin-turbo V-8 of the Urus gets a slight upgrade in this case, pumping out 810 hp and 737 lb-ft of torque, up from the standard 641 hp and 627 lb-ft.

Inside, the Venatus is blue—like, really blue. Blue leather lines the door panels, the headliner, the seats, the dash, and steering wheel. If it isn’t blue leather, it’s probably carbon fiber. But the strangest thing about this modified Lambo is that it’s wearing two different sets of wheels. Despite all being 24 inches in diameter, the wheels on the left side of the car are not the same as the wheels on the right side of the car. This is a trend that continues to mystify us, but at least each set is decent-looking.

Unlike the Urus, the Bentley Continental GT Convertible is a gorgeous piece of machinery—or at least it was. The Mansory version is finished in matte black and adorned with chrome oxite green accents, and it’s also filled with green and black quilted leather on nearly every interior panel. The dash has been redone in carbon fiber. Outside, the Mansory touches include a new spoiler, grille, hood, bumpers, and wheels. The twin-turbo V-8 here has been tuned from 542 horsepower to 640, and it gets a new exhaust, too. Top speed is claimed to be 205 mph and Mansory says its Bentley will dispatch the zero-to-62-mph sprint in 3.8 seconds.

Clearly, this year’s offerings don’t buck Mansory’s reputation. But hope springs eternal, and maybe next year’s will be more tasteful. In fact, maybe next year they’ll even appear at a Geneva auto show.
