We expected to see the Motorola Edge Plus debut at Mobile World Congress 2020. However, since that event was canceled Motorola hasn’t revealed when we will actually see the first flagship phone from the company in years.
Luckily, frequent leaker @OnLeaks and Price Baba have teamed up to deliver us CAD-based renders of what the Motorola Edge Plus will probably look like. The renders show off a design that is undoubtedly a flagship while also showcasing a few things that will make the Edge Plus unique.

The first thing we noticed when we checked out these renders is just how small the selfie camera display cutout is. We can’t be for certain because these are just renders, but our gut reaction is that this is the smallest display cutout we’ve ever seen on any smartphone.
Elsewhere, we noticed that the curved edges of the display extend really, really far over the sides of the device. This is to be expected — it is called the Motorola Edge Plus, after all — but it’s an interesting move considering Samsung actually reduced the amount of curve in the display of the Galaxy S20 line as compared to the Galaxy S10 line.
On the back of the Motorola Edge Plus, the renders suggest we’ll see a triple-lens camera array arranged in a vertically-aligned module. The primary lens at the top is enormous which strongly suggests it will be a 108MP sensor, similar to what we’ve seen in the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra. However, that might not be the case as these are just renders and could be misrepresenting the size of the sensor.
The back of the device does not have a fingerprint sensor. Judging from how tiny the front camera is, that leads us to believe there will be an in-display fingerprint sensor instead of face unlock.
Finally, at the top of the phone, it seems there could be a headphone jack. This isn’t too surprising as Motorola has proven it’s committed to the headphone jack over the past few years. Since this is its first flagship in a long while, though, it wasn’t beyond the realm of possibility that the headphone jack would get abandoned. Thankfully, it looks like it’s sticking around.
