Right now, Walmart is offering an HP Omen 15 gaming laptop for $849, a cool 35% off. The giant retailer is even including a gaming headset and mouse for free.
The HP Omen 15 is a solid budget gaming laptop. HP packed all the necessary power and display to run demanding games, sprinkled a little extra on top, then cut the price. The Omen is running an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics card — HP was one of the first to adopt this next-gen card in a laptop. The Omen has an Intel i7 processor to match, so you can embrace high performance games without a sweat. Relying on Wi-Fi is always a concern when playing online games, but if you’re choosing a gaming laptop over a desktop, you don’t want it chained to your router. The Wi-Fi 6 available with that Intel processor will dramatically cut any lagging you’re predisposed to.
Games will look great on the Omen. While the screen doesn’t have 4K resolution or a crazy high refresh rate, the 15-inch display doesn’t really require it.
