Win A PS5 In The Fortnite Generations Cup

If you don’t have a PlayStation 5 yet, playing Fortnite might actually be your best chance at getting one. Developer Epic Games announced that it will be awarding PS5 consoles to some of those that compete in the upcoming Generations Cup. This solo tournament kicks off on December 18 at 3 PM PT / 6 PM ET and is exclusive to players on Sony consoles, so players on other platforms won’t be able to enter.

It still won’t be easy getting a PS5 from Fortnite, though. Despite partnering with PlayStation for the event, only one PS5 will be given out to the winner of each region. That equals out to seven PS5s being sent out in total. The participating regions are categorized as Europe, North America East, North America West, Brazil, Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East.

Even if you don’t win a PS5, Epic is offering consolation prizes. Players who rank high enough in the Generations Cup will be able to get the Indigo Kuno Outfit and Indigo Kama Back Bling. In North America, that means coming in at least the top 1,500 players if you’re in the NA East server. Those on the west coast will have to be one of the top 600 players. The qualifications for all regions are listed in the official rules.

As for the fine print, Epic tells players that they must have 2-Factor Authentication enabled on their Epic account and have an account level of 30 in order to be eligible. Epic will get in touch with the highest-scoring player in each region via email within two weeks of the tournament ending. Players will then have 45 days to respond or they will lose out on their shot at getting a PS5 and no alternate winner will be named.

If you don’t win a PS5 this way, you can always check GameSpot’s PS5 restock updates for your best shot at grabbing one.
