Over the years, there have been a few solutions to making our smartphones mostly all-screen on the front. First, there was the notch. Then we saw pop-up cameras become a quick fad. Now, we’re seeing most companies embrace a display cutout. However, we’re also seeing under-display cameras become a reality.

There’s still no consensus, though, on which technology will win out and make our phones truly all-screen with no interruptions. Earlier this week, we saw a patent from OnePlus that showed a way to cram a teeny tiny selfie camera into an ultra-thin top bezel. Could this be the solution?

Unfortunately, the OnePlus bezel-cam is just a patent right now, so we have no idea if the company truly intends on putting it into a commercial product. That can’t stop us from using our imaginations, though!

We figured we would go straight to our readers and find out what they think. In the poll below, let us know what you think about this under-display camera vs bezel-cam fight. You don’t need to pick one or the other — the poll leaves room for other options, too.

Whatever the smartphone industry decides on, we’re hoping it makes the decision soon. We’re ready to move on from the display cutout trend!
