- An enterprising Reddit user discovered a reference to the Snapdragon Wear 4100 chipset on a promotional image for a Moto-branded watch.
- Theoretically, this upcoming Moto watch could sport that advanced chip, Wear OS, and wireless charging.
- So far, there’s only one watch on the market with the SD4100, so this would be a welcome bit of competition.
Earlier today, on Reddit, a Wear OS fan found an interesting bit of info (h/t 9to5Google). Using an investor’s package launched last week surrounding upcoming Moto-branded smartwatches, the user found that one of the unreleased watches could sport the newest wearable processor from Qualcomm: the Snapdragon Wear 4100.

Reddit user “TheMacJezza” found this info by using Photoshop. They used one of the promotional photos from the investor’s kit and upped the contrast and highlights. Once done, they could better read the text surrounding the rear sensors of the watch.
If you look at the featured image above, you can see what they found. The white text has been added by the Reddit user to better clarify what you’re seeing. If this image is accurate, it looks very likely that this watch could have the Snapdragon Wear 4100.
Moto watch with a Snapdragon Wear 4100
This Moto-branded watch and the two others seen in the investor’s kit are not made by Motorola. Instead, Canadian company eBuyNow creates the watches and then brands them with the Moto name, which it licensed from Motorola.
So far, we haven’t seen anything too incredible from eBuyNow when it comes to Wear OS watches. However, a watch with the Snapdragon Wear 4100 would put it in direct competition with the only other commercially-released watch with the processor: the TicWatch Pro 3. That watch has a very distinct design that may or may not be your cup of tea. A different watch with the same power could be a real winner.

In addition to the processor, the watch shown in the image above also has wireless charging coils. This is another feature missing from most Wear OS watches — they usually are locked to proprietary charging cables. Not even the TicWatch Pro 3 has wireless charging, for example.
Hopefully, eBuyNow will make some announcements on this Snapdragon Wear 4100 watch soon, as Wear OS fans now have something about which to be very excited.
