  • Samsung SmartTag Plus is now available in the US.
  • This comes after the smart tracker was announced back in January.
  • It packs UWB smarts and is available for preorder for $40.

After its introduction at Samsung’s January Unpacked event, the Galaxy SmartTag Plus is now available to preorder in the US.

Like its standard SmartTag sibling, the Galaxy SmartTag Plus also plugs into Samsung’s SmartThings Find to help you find your lost belongings. But while the standard edition only employs Bluetooth smarts to track items, the SmartTag Plus also uses UWB. This gives the likes of Galaxy S21 series users the benefit of more accurate tracking when near the object. You can even use AR tracking to find your stuff or use the SmartTag Plus as a smart home remote.

While the standard SmartTag has been available to purchase for a while, the SmartTag Plus is finally available to preorder for $39.99 at B&H Photo. According to the listing (h/t DroidLife), the device will start shipping on April 12 and is available in Black.

If you have no problem waiting, you can grab a Galaxy SmartTag Plus via the buy button below. Interested in the standard SmartTag? You can grab it from Amazon at the link.

Samsung’s pocketable tracker packs all the smarts of its cheaper sibling but adds UWB tracking for more accurate feedback.
