The Falcon And The Winter Soldier Offers Midseason Preview Of What’s Ahead

Marvel has shared a mid-season sneak peek of the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The video explores “the complicated legacy of the shield and what lies ahead for Sam Wilson, Bucky Barnes, John Walker, and the Flag Smashers.”

With only two episodes left on a six-episode run, Falcon and the Winter Soldier has so far offered little in the way of answers to the show’s long-running questions and conflicts–and as of last week, has only made the stakes more complicated. But this new clip from Marvel offers some good clues about where things are headed and also how some of these conflicts may play out in an adventure taking place six months after the events of Avengers: Endgame, which saw the mantle of Captain America handed to Sam Wilson and his buddy Bucky Barnes.

The series, which so far has been praised for its dark tone and action sequences, will wrap on April 23 with a finale and then the following Friday be the subject of another Marvel Studios: Assembled. Airing on April 30, the documentary series are specials that go behind the scenes of Marvel Cinematic Universe television shows and movies. Previously, Assembled debuted in March with a look back diving deep on WandaVision.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is directed by Kari Skogland with Malcolm Spellman as head writer. The six-episode series stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Daniel Brühl, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell, Erin Kellyman, Adepero Oduye, Amy Aquino, and Danny Ramirez.

With this series coming to a close soon, it’s a good time to check out our thorough rundown of what’s ahead for MCU Phase 4, including release dates where available.
