Marvel’s next original series on Disney+ is none other than Loki, which arrives on the streaming service on Wednesday, June 9. Like the other MCU original series–WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier–the upcoming show will be quite unique from what Marvel fans have already seen. How unique? Well, Loki focuses on time travel and fixing broken timelines.

How to watch Loki on Disney Plus

In order to watch Loki, you’ll need to subscribe to the Disney+ streaming service, as that is the exclusive home for the MCU series. Luckily, Disney+ is one of the most accessible streaming services out there, as it’s available on Amazon Fire TV, AppleTV, Chromecast, Roku, Smart TVs, mobile, desktops, and on gaming consoles like PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and the Xbox Series.

The Disney+ price is $8 a month or $80 a year. There is also the Disney bundle, which consists of Disney+ with Hulu (ad-supported) and ESPN+ for $14 a month or the same bundle, with an ad-free Hulu, for $20 a month. Sadly, there is no free trial for Disney+.

What we know about Loki

The opening season of Loki will consist of six episodes. Reportedly, each episode will be between 40-50 minutes long, so closer in length to episodes of Falcon and Winter Soldier. The show follows Loki–the one that grabbed the Tesseract and disappeared during Avengers: Endgame–as he finds himself working with the Time Variance Authority (TVA), a group that works outside of time trying to fix variations. Check out the trailer below.

The show also includes Owen Wilson playing TVA agent Mobius M. Mobius as well as Sophia Di Martino, Richard E. Grant, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and more. Michael Waldron will write the series. He’s also one of the writers for the upcoming MCU movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as well as the upcoming Starz wrestling drama Heelz. Kate Herron will direct each episode of Loki–she’s best known for her directing work on the Netflix comedy series Sex Education.
