TL;DR

  • The Walmart Android TV streamer (branded as Onn) is now available.
  • The device supports 4K streaming, comes with a Google-designed remote, and is less than $30.
  • There’s a 1080p version as well for even less, but it is out of stock for now.

Google created one of the best media streamers we’ve ever used with the Android TV-powered Chromecast with Google TV. While that device is pretty great, it’s also pretty expensive with a list price of $50.

Thankfully, Walmart is here to deliver a device that is almost as good for significantly less cash. The Walmart Android TV streaming box from its in-house brand Onn is now available for just $29.88.

For less than $30, you get a 4K-capable streaming box built on Android TV. That means it has access to all the apps, games, and other software available on the Google Play Store. It even supports Dolby audio.

The streamer doesn’t skimp out on the in-box contents, either. Inside, you’ll find a Google-designed remote with quick access buttons for YouTube, Netflix, Disney Plus, and HBO Max. It also has a Google Assistant button for delivering voice commands right into the remote. You’ll also find a set of batteries for the remote, a 1m HDMI cable, and an A/C adapter.

Do keep in mind that there’s a streaming stick version of this Walmart Android TV device that’s limited to 1080p resolutions. That costs even less at just $24.88. However, it appears out of stock for us at the moment.
