Nah. It can be as long as it wants ws long as quality matches quantity. Dark souls 1 would be far less of a masterpiece if its only up to O&S. That would be laughable and just frankly thoughtless and not to be rude, so is your point of discussion. Its like saying bloodborne would be better if it finished at rom or if ds3 finished at yhorm. Its a very senseless sentiment when applied to souls. Most of the weapons and spells and true customization comes after the midpoint too.
Ur comment isnt wrong about other games though. Tlou2 was comically longer than it shouldve been. Persona 5 too, as much as i love that game. Maaaybe re4 and 7. But most games completion rates rely on ur skill and strategy really. Ur point is extremely subjective and theres way too many variables. I played ds1 last, and frankly i would have finished the game in 10 hours if it ended on O&S…that wouldve been a joke of a game.
