Mini is bringing back a stylish special edition that launched way back in 2007. Arriving in dealerships this April, the 2021 Mini Cooper S Convertible Sidewalk Edition receives special wheels, colors, and interior features.

The Sidewalk Edition offers two paint color options: Deep Laguna Metallic and Enigmatic Black Metallic. Both hues are complemented by a special Anthracite soft-top roof. Custom designed two-tone 17-inch wheels finish off the exterior’s look.

Inside, there’s a custom steering wheel and floor mats. Cabin surfaces also feature unique illumination. Sidewalk badging is also strewn about the cabin, including the small convertibles aluminum door sill trim.

Since it’s based off the Cooper S, the Sidewalk Edition receives motivation from a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine making 189 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual is standard on the Sidewalk Edition, but an extra $1,500 adds a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission to the mix.

With a sticker price of $39,250, the Cooper S Convertible Sidewalk Edition costs a significant chunk of change. Fortunately, it boasts a long list of standard features, including LED headlights and foglights, a head-up display system, a Harman/Kardon premium sound system, an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an in-dash navigation system, heated front seats, and dual-zone automatic climate control.

Mini says the new model is for customers who want “top-down, sun-drenched driving this summer.” Let’s hope we can get to those carefree beach days soon.
