I didn’t realize that people were complaining about this, but I suppose that comes with the territory of serving a large consumer base. As an early adopter of the PS4 back in the day I understood the reason behind the need for light bar dimming fairly quickly because it was pretty bright and more importantly it shortened the battery life fairly significantly.
However, with my Xbox any light coming console and/or controllers is already minimal. I suppose if you are constantly changing double AA batteries this may be an issue, but in my experience the 3rd party battery packs provide a good amount of life. Probably a feature I will turn off once implemented or leave alone for lack of really noticing.
