No one should have to guess what’s going on in that dark scene of The Handmaid’s Tale. Since 2020, TV manufacturers have been pumping out large, affordable 4K panels at a wicked fast pace — which means watching your favorite content with punchy colors, decipherable shadows, and smooth transitions doesn’t have to be reserved for the movie theater. Each weekend, we’ll be compiling a list of our favorite 4K and QLED TV deals from Samsung, LG, Sony, and more.

Samsung

OUR TOP PICK: Samsung 65-inch 2021 The Frame OLED 4K Smart TV (QN65LS03AAFXZA) — $1,697.99 (save $300)

The 65-inch version of Samsung’s latest iteration of The Frame is back to record-low Amazon pricing, taking it more than $200 below Samsung’s own sale price.

Unless this is your very first time researching new TVs, you know what’s good with The Frame. When you’re not watching Samsung’s quantum dot technology turn Ted Lasso into a juicy, colorful piece of art, The Frame itself morphs into a piece of art. Let it pull from an ever-growing library of work by real artists or watch it blend into the wall behind it from a single photo (taken by you).

LG

OUR TOP PICK: LG 65-inch 2021 A1 Series 4K OLED Smart TV (OLED65A1PUA) — $1,799 (save $400.99)

Make a casual bump to OLED with LG’s entry-level A1 series. 2021 is the first year that the brand has offered such a budget-friendly OLED tier, but the A1 is still a stellar dark room performer like the higher-ranking C1 and G1 models. 65 inches is a lot of space to show off the crisp calibration of the a7 Gen 4 AI Processor, especially for far under $2,000.

Sony

OUR TOP PICK: Sony 65-inch X90J Series 4K OLED Smart TV (XR65X90J) — $1,298 (save $301.99)

Despite a mere one-numeral difference in model number, the Sony X90J is a completely different TV than the budget X80J. Its VA panel supplies heightened contrast ratios versus the X80J’s IPS panel, plus full array local dimming for deepened black shades.

Hisense, Vizio, TCL, and more

OUR TOP PICK: TCL 50-inch 4-Series 4K UHD Smart TV (50S435) — $399.90 (save $100.09)

Baby’s first 4K TV could come in the form of TCL’s 4 Series TV. The 2021 version of the popular budget model offers a pretty sound color range and decent picture, which looks even better when you remember that a 50-inch TV was less than $400. Built-in Roku is another nice touch.
